Welcome to Boulder Chinese Medicine!
Boulder, Colorado's Local Resource for Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture is the primary medical procedure we offer in Oriental medicine. It involves the insertion of sterile, filament-like needles inserted into specific locations on the skin that are active in terms of electromagnetic energy, which is known as qi (pronounced chee). The needles contact the points on these energy meridians where there is excess or deficient flow, and the acupuncturist uses them as a tool to make necessary adjustments.
The meridians are connected with the body's internal organs, so the flow determines the relative health of the individual from an internal medicine standpoint. The effects of acupuncture in general are regulatory. Most patients experience a feeling of well- being after or during the treatment that can last hours or days afterward.
